Record Numbers of People Seek Employment Advice

According to a number of top legal firms that deal with employment advice, the number of employees that have approached them in the past couple of years has increased exponentially. Employment law tribunals have gone through the roof and whilst the Home pages of these firms may well still be enticing new business, you may actually struggle to find representation through the best firms.

The main reason for this massive surge in employees seeking such advice can definitely be put down to the current economic situation that businesses find themselves in. To be fair, when money is so tight and the government insists on applying more and more financial strain on them and tighter and less-workable regulations, it is not difficult to see why.

Of course, employers should never act unlawfully toward their employees, but often, they have felt backed into a corner and have taken the steps they have in an endeavour to keep their business afloat.

So, at the end of the day, who is primarily to blame for this current situation? That is very easy indeed: the government! How much longer are they going to permit the banks to carry on in the way they are and continue to squeeze the ordinary, hard working members of society to bail out a problem that was not of their making? This issue really gets all of our backs up and we are all continuing to wonder when the government will actually grow a backbone and rectify the matter.
