In order to get ahead of the game here, you will need to box clever. If you are looking to qualify as a solicitor that specialises in employment law, you will need to undertake a Legal Practice Course (LPC) which will last a full year, full time, or two years part time.
Even before you start the LPC, it is always a good idea to secure your training period with a recognisable legal firm. Therefore, send out applications as soon as you possibly can - so that your hard work is not completely wasted.
You will also need to bear in mind that the classification of your LLB will be an important factor. If you score anything less than a 2:1, you are likely to struggle in finding a firm that will take you on to complete your training.
