What Are Green Jobs?

As Electricity Rates and fuel prices soar, the fact that fossil fuels are finite and fast running out becomes more prominent than ever. The entire world economy is based on fossil fuels as the moment, but this is clearly not sustainable. Green jobs are careers that are situated within the context of a more environmentally balanced world order.

Jobs in the sector of finance, banking and economics in general are always in demand because money is at the centre of everything today. However, it is becoming more and more apparent that civilisation, money and development are not isolated from the natural environment.

Not only are the economic costs of environmental degradation monumental, but unlike a purely financial crisis, no one can bail us out of environmental crises. Nature in a balanced and working order provides innumerable services to us, and should these become unstable, the costs can be immeasurable.

The green sector includes everything from the fields of conservation, urban development, green economics, renewable energy, social justice and development, climate change, etc. as we realise the importance of sustainable and balanced growth, most countries are investing in the technologies and discourses that encourage it.

There is a growing interest in this sector and demand for expertise in various green technologies is on the rise. As we strive for an environmentally safer future, green jobs become more and more important.
